hi guys, i want to learn HTML 5 and CSS3 so can u people please suggest me good books so that i could learn basic and advanced techniques also.

This is the only book I read, just finished it 2 days ago and after reading it I got more interested in HTML5. That's why I want more books 😀

HTML5 and CSS3 are, in many cases, still being developed. I recommend websites over books for the latest tips and tricks. Here's a couple I use:

thanks for advice dude, i was following css tricks from last month when i started html5 and will now follow webmonkey also
just wanted books so that i could study when m offline

It's starting to get a bit dated, but Zeldman's book, Designing with Web Standards, is a good overview of the basics (and a little non-basic stuff).
