So, I'm not sure if it's out of sheer laziness, an effort to save some money, or what, but I'm interested in a combined speaker system and I was wondering if someone had feedback on the Harman Kardon HKTS-18s. I realize, I could go ask on AVSForum, but I'd be met with a ridiculous supply of haughty responses or sheer avoidance and I wanted to get some more rational opinions.

I think one of the reasons is that I don't want to build up a theater system as money becomes available, I want to put it together and be done with it. They seem to be universally loved by purchasers, so I'm just soliciting more opinions. Room will probably not be too large, will not be a dedicated theater room, and I will have nearby neighbors.

I had a friend who had a set of HK speakers. It was very similar to the ones you linked to. I wasn't expecting much but they did impress me. This was probably partially due to the fact that he lived in a frat and had a 13 x 13 or so room to himself. The speakers you linked to don't contain large drivers(3" midranges) so they aren't going to be good for a large room.

Do you already have a receiver? What features do you need?

What is your budget for everything?
