Hi Everyone, I picked up a Ceton Infinitv4 card from Newegg a couple of weeks ago & using spare parts, I put together a machine dedicated for this card (config is listed below). I currently have the Office TV connected to this PC & have the XB360 (in the living room) configured as an extender to watch live & record tv from the same card.

I am planning on adding my videos, pictures & music, so that its streams from this same pc.

I am planning on adding a couple more extenders, so other family members can watch tv & record tv.

Since I know 4 tuners wouldn't be enough, I was thinking of adding another Infinitv card to the same PC. The idea would be having all of the tv recordings in a central area.

My question is this feasible with current equipment or would I need to upgrade? There are 3 people that live here. Can 1 pc be able to handle recording shows from multiple tuners, while streaming live tv from unused tuners or recorded shows, or videos?

Also, in general, should I add more ram to this pc (going from 4 to 8 gigs)?

Reason for wanting to goto a 1 central station for tv is that I'm currently using 6 Replaytv's (RTV), which each have a cable box connected. These use a PATA drive, which only certain ones work (models that work are no longer manufactured). If a drive dies, the unit becomes usless. Yes I know I can possibly pickup a refurb'd drive, but no guarentees that would work.

I can stream shows from one RTV to another, but depending on the RTV, it might cause it to reboot & there are times when the RTV cannot see the other RTV. My thought of having all of the recordings in one area would solve this issue.

Since I have to have a box connected to each RTV, I would be able to return most of them to save $$

Thanks!!
