Found this on neogaf.

More comparisons here: http://uploadvr.com/vive-and-rift-recommended-pc-specs-compared/

If you want to try the performance test if your computer can do VR according to steam, here you go: http://store.steampowered.com/app/323910

For those trying to run the VR benchmark, try this link instead: steam://run/323910
Copy that into your browser and open it. If not, send it to a friend in steam and it should be clickable there.

For example here's what the result would look like:

That Steam link just gets bounced back to their homepage, FYI.

I'm downloading this from Steam right now, should be done in a few minutes. Let's make this thread an official benchmark thread.

Post your build and test results!

If you look at this and cross your eyes slightly, then focus on the image in the middle, you can see it in 3D on a plain monitor. It's cool

They're Frame rate , How about Latency for Motion to Photon (or aka Motion to Photon Latency = MPL ) ?

Does anybody know if the test can get slowed down by having a lot of desktop space? My 290's underperforming in this, and I think it might be influenced by my 2560+3440+2560x1440 screen setup. The test's such a small window that it might be influenced more by that than games on the ultrawide.

I'm pretty sure that's dependent in large part on the display setup. Maybe Latency from input to frame creation would be doable.

970 is at 1450
2600K is at 4.5Ghz

It appears that the CPU clock and HT has a relatively high effect on the score even when the benchmark reports that the CPU is not a bottleneck.

I have a 970 at 1450, like you, but a 2500k at 4.1 Ghz. My score is 7.0.

i dont know what this test measure, but FPs 100% not

i benchmark it with fraps and here are results.I have same Fps with stock GTX970 1367/7000 and after OC to 1520/8200, but performance index changed..

Fraps FPS

GTX970 1367/7000
Avg: 116.496 - Min: 111 - Max: 131
GTX970 1520/8200
Avg: 117.174 - Min: 110 - Max: 126

How many frames tested?

Anybody know why it varies?

My rig got 9.2 didn't take a screenshot. I'll check again tonight.

4790k
390 x2

Running all stock as power supply is only 750w.

Guess it's 9.4

It varies because it is just a tally of how many frames are rendered during the time the benchmark runs. The benchmark is a set time, not a set number of frames.
