Hi. Bought a HTC Status for my daughter. It comes with a 2gb sd card, which I would think stores all text, pics, video, etc. But, the phone keeps running out of memory. I installed Astro to see what is stored where, and I connected it to my PC to see where stuff is stored. The pictures and video seem to be stored on the sd card, but she has tons of IM's that are taking up space, not to mention the apps that I cannot uninstall.

How do I go about uninstalling apps that are not used, which came with phone (I cannot uninstall them using the "standard" uninstall)?

Also, where are the IM's stored? That is, in what directory are they stored so I can move them using Astro?

Thanks in advance.

You need to go manage applications and delete the data for whatever im app it is . Apps can be internal phone memory. Or move that app to sd card

Just out of curiosity why the heck did you buy the HTC status in the first place?

It is an extremely crappy android phone and there are much better alternatives out there.

Like the Motorola Atrix 2.

Just saying.
