you must be easily amazed :|
It's your average HTC phone. They make an almost exact copy for each carrier and make a few changes every few months and release under a new name
Sensation average? It's a top of the line phone. Nothing average about it.

It's th average for new android phones released this year. Dual core, qhd screen and I fogot what else
The only complaint I have about this phone is the battery life. I've set everything to a bare minimum (turn off everything except wireless, brightness to 20%, turn off all running apps, etc), it doesn't seem to compare to the battery life of iphone 4. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears. Also how much would an extra battery pack cost?
uncheck 'Always on mobile data'
wireless & networks > mobile networks
are u on 2.3.4? battery life somewhat improved.

I don't think you know what average means...
I'm enjoying my sensation a lot. can't go back to the wvga nexus one after a few days of using this screen. patiently waiting for cyanogenmod nightlies to come out...that will be awesome.
every 2011 flagship phone is dual core, nice screen, LTE or HSPA+, etc. it's all ARM based CPU's, the same few screens and one or two models of radio chips being used on all phones. even the iphone
a ferrari is a ferrari every year
a flagship phone one year is old crap the next year in the clearance bin
i suppose you are looking at the bigger picture/over time. The pace of progress in the mobile market is so fast that it is really difficult to be anything other than "average" by your definition.
