The Snapdragon S4 in the OneS seems to stomp all over the Tegra3 in the OneX. The graphics test is a bit more unknown but CPU-wise.

Wowsers. I really want to get rid of my iPhone 4S... I just switched to in favour of the One X. Too bad we'll never know if Verizon is going to get it or not. :l

It depends to be honest with you. I think HTC did a nice job here. From the few reviews I read, it is a glossy-matte finish sort of what you'd get on the Lumias by Nokia.

I'm sure they'll release a black version shortly after the white is released.

It's funny because I think the white looks loads better, and I'm the person that usually opts for the black device.

I think the problem with that black IMO is it's more of a gunmetal grey instead of an actual black. Then again, I've not seen it in person and can only go by pictures.

The ATT one is going to be only 16gb right? It should either have a micro-sd card or at least be 32gb, I don't consider online storage to really be a replacement for physical storage on a device. I'm still probably going to get this phone, it's nice to see the S4 compared to the tegra in these reviews but it's not a good comparison for the graphics part since the resolution of the X is so much higher.

That's why I'm curious about the supposed S4 version. CPU performance will still be stratospheric but I suspect GPU performance will be a marginal loss.

I wish manufacturers would push gpu performance since a dual core a15 is more performance than any one person needs in a cell phone.

The 500Mhz OMAP in the OG Droid is more performance than any one person needs in a cell phone.

On topic: Phone looks amazing, quite impressed. I'm concerned about the battery life though.

Yes, welcome back HTC. I like the design of One X and the hardware. I think I rather have the Snapdragon S4 rather than Tegra 3. As for the One S, a big yawn. I dont't care for the phone at all.

After reading and watching the video reviews from both Verge and Engadget, I do not like Sense 4.0. I guess I'm used to the clean stock ICS look after using for the past 4 months. Sense 4.0 looks clumsy and ugly in comparison.

But hey at least it's shipping with ICS unlike other recent released phones. Any kind of ICS > Gingerbread.

whats wrong with the One S? its a good phone and for people who don't want a monstrous 4.7" phone its pretty well sized. its not flagship quality, but still a high end phone

i really like the one S , except the non removeable battery.

if they expect people to keep the phone for 2 years, it will start losing charge after a while and just not last as long. and 1650mah is not even that large a battery. so you wont be able to replace it and every day your charge will be less than it was when you bought it.

i have a Gnexus right now. granted the plastic back is not going to feel as good as an all metal one but the phone is still thin with a cover (and its still probably too thing i thinks its so thin its slips outof my hand) i have both the extended and primary batteries, so when i know i am going to be somehwere where there is no chance of charging i just bring both. i suppose you could bring one of those external packs but still. form over function in this case is a bad compromise
