I own a HTC One X currently.
Virgin Mobile, my provider, offered me a HTC One S phone as an "upgrade" for $112.00 all in no contract. (I had a $150 phone credit built up + phone had a $150 discount on it currently as a promo + $50 Prepaid Visa. No phone subsidized with them, I own the One X outright. They give you 10% of your monthly bill as a credit towards a tab you can use to upgrade in the future)
Ended up getting the phone after the Visa for $112.00 all in, no contract. Paid another $5 on ebay to unlock it by code. I thought $112 for a brand new One S with the s4/225 was a nice deal, so I couldn't pass on it.
I only took it as I had planned to flip it, but after using it for the night I have decided to keep it and sell the One X.
If you don't mind the qHD pentile oled screen (colors are solid though!), This phone is crazy nice. It FEELS faster than my One X. There is virtually no lag at all. Browsing with Chrome on the One S is a smoother experience than the One X. It has all the same features of the One X plus has FM radio. Don't get me wrong, the One X is super nice. The One S just feels more "optimized"
I'm a big guy (I'm 6'7) and when I bought the One X, I had difficulty holding it with one hand with a "barely there" case on it. Without the case its ok, but at times was frustrating as I'm on the move a lot. The One S is a perfect size to use one handed. I think I've found a new love for 4.3" screens. I just hope more come out with 720p screens in the future. (Xperia S is nice but uses old tech).
Anyways, I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else is using the phone.
I've had a few handset changes in past couple months (Galaxy Nexus to One X to One S) and this is by far my favorite. This is going to be my keeper for a couple years until my credit is built up again.
ALSO- I got my 25GB Dropbox almost instantly with this phone. With my One X, I still to this day do not have it even after completing the "getting started". Support with Drop Box has been non existent - "Contact your seller" type responses everytime I email them.
