This looks pretty nice. Carrier unlocked and bootloader unlocked. Silver 64GB model will go on sale in the US for $650. This is a lot cheaper than the International 64GB model at Negri Electronics for $900.

I guess I should wait to see what the Galaxy S4 looks like. But I think I just might replace my Nexus 4 with this. Really like the idea of front facing speakers.

If I do buy this, it'll be my very first HTC phone (coming from a long line of Samsung phones).

Yeah, a fully unlocked model with 64GB? That sounds like it would be perfect for me assuming the battery life is on the good rather than poor side (reviews are still mixed).

How well do these developer edition phones work with the various LTE networks out there?

I looked at the frequencies and it'll work for Canada and ATT at least. No AWS 3G though so T-Mobile standard is out.

This worries me a little. I'm on T-Mobile and probably won't leave my $30 5GB plan for any phone. But Phoenix has rolled out the 1900MHz frequency for T-Mobile, so I'm hoping that means this phone will work on T-Mobile here and their 1900MHz coverage is large enough that it reaches my home in the suburbs.

This just means that the US versions will have locked bootloaders (or the att version will since the developer phone is for att bands).

Everyone else will have unlocked bootloaders and have no need for a "developer edition." They are doing the same thing verizon did with the gs3(?), lock the bootloader and then have samsung sell a $700 developer edition.

At least that's my guess.

64GB flagship for only $650? Unlocked? What's the catch? Aren't the branded/regular versions usually $699 for 16GB?
