I recently used an HTC Radar windows phone that I got for free during the windows phone challenge. Truth by told, I loved the phone. I don't use a ton of apps and the included features along with the superb exchange integration for work made it an awesome phone. However, I'm a tech geek so once I started reading about the HTC One and it's features (a few moths ago) I knew that was the phone I wanted. I've had a few androids before this (Motorola, Vibrant) but this was still a change after a year of windows phone.
Fast forward to today and I've had the phone for a month and I still can't get the bluetooth to work right. I have a '13 Forester that, like almost all cars now, has bluetooth and integrates with a phone. With my Radar the pairing was easy the first time and after that the car always picked up the phone right after starting it up. Phone worked great and Music synched perfectly, I could see track detail on the screen.
Now with my HTC One I can never get it to work right. It paired up initially just fine but now I have to select the pairing device, either from the phone or car, every time I startup for them to see each other even though. Then, once I sync the music only sometimes shows track details, sometimes this stays blank. Other times the music track details show, but the phone syncs in music mode only, no phone call ability. And still other times everything works perfect, I'm quite stumped here.
Anyone know any secrets with Androids in general, or the HTC One in particular, and pairing bluetooth with a car?
Thanks!
