HTC Mogul, is it worth a look?

Bro-in-Law is getting a new phone. He's with US Cellular and the person at whatever store he went to printed him a spec sheet for the HTC Mogul (PPC6800, Titan, whatever).

I can't find any information on it HTC's website, US Cellular's site, or anywhere else. Is the phone not made any more and they are trying to pawn off an old phone or is it still around and a good phone to look at?

I think he said it'd be $180 or something with a 2-yr contract.

I've heard of the phone but don't know anything about it.

Thanks Einstein. Already did that. Most of those are from over a year ago which is why I'm asking if this phone is still decent or if there's things that are better than it now. And the specific information about US Cellular as well.

No. The Mogul is slow. Its WM6 PPC (touchscreen) with only 64MB of ram, only about 24-26MB are usable (WM6 uses up the rest). I had one on sprint, sent it back and got the Q9c instead. It still only has about 26MB usable but without touchscreen the Q9c seems a little faster. Get the Touch Pro or keep waitin. I will either get the Palm Pre or continue to wait to see what WM7 will be like.

Just my .02¢ though.

QFT. wanted the mogul so badly, but decided to hold out for the TP. my friends roommate is in the same situation your bro-in-law: shes on us cellular and wanting the mogul. i told her that she should hold out for the TP (its on *almost* every carrier here in the usa and even alltel has it) or even TP2. the mogul is horribly outdated and the TP/TP2 blow it out of the water in every single possible way.
