HTC M8 One Verizon Marshmallow update today!

So just as i pre-ordered my new Samsung Galaxy S7 that should be here this week, i find out that HTC has just released the new Marshmallow update for my HTC M8 One phone today!

It's currently downloading and installing. Guess it'll make a nice backup phone for my new S7.

Just thought i'd give an update for anyone still using an HTC M8 phone.

Been running Marshmellow on my M8 since last year. Although, for Verizon folks, there's not much choice other than to wait for carrier approval.

I use 6.0 on my M8 daily, and have done so since the GPe version hit a month after Marshmallow's release. HTC is pretty good about device updates.

With that said, I was actually thinking of manually downgrading to Kitkat today. Android M, or Lollipop, is nice but not very smooth on the hardware (compared to Kit Kat). Also ever since I left Kitkat behind I have Android Wear connection problems- it has gotten so bad I disconnected the watch and just use it as a MP3 player while running. Kinda willing to try anything to get by a little longer on the M8, at least until some more Qualcomm 820 options hit the market.

The M9 was such a flop now HTC is just copying iPhones in a bid to survive until VR can take off.
