Watch out Samsung Galaxy Tab, the new HTC Flyer might outnumber your sales soon. According to a report posted by Digitimes, the HTC Flyer has already secured sales of one million units of the 7-incher Android based tablet.
Unlike the Galaxy Tab, the new HTC Flyer will be using the latest version of Android (for smartphones), the Gingerbread 2.3. However, Google already said that Honeycomb is the only version of the Android that is compatible with tablets, or devices that have larger capacitive touchscreen size.
The one million HTC Flyer orders has guaranteed the Taiwan based company of receiving Flyer tablet orders until September 2011. Latest rumors suggest that HTC will unveil their first-ever tablet next month.
Aside from powerful Android tablets like the Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Toshibas Honeycomb tablets, the HTC Flyer is also scheduled to compete with Apples new tablet, the iPad 2 that supports video calling via two cameras and faster dual-core processor. The HTC Flyers processor is single core 1.5 GHz only.
