I'm pretty sure Verizon will eventually boot me for tethering, Sprint doesn't care or cap you...

The kids pretty well hate Virgin, and I'm having a heck of a time finding smartphone plans for less than $200 for all 3 of us with unlimited data
I love how you live on the ragged edge of maximizing your bucks and getting booted. 😛

I wonder how that works. I only signed up for Sprint in Febtober. No way am I eligible for an upgrade through Sprint. I'm I eligible for the Target promotion? Am I obliged for a contract for two years from now, or two years on top of my current contract.
Ugh.

yes you are eligible.

everyone with an EVO is.

and yes your contract is extended another 2 years.. so you would now have 3+ years left instead of 1+

And you could always pay the early term if you ever wanted out down the road..

All right guys. Here's where I'm at now. At the beginning of May I lost my temper and decided I'd had enough of my aging Touch Pro 2 (lagginess everywhere, lack of support as Winmo dies, horrible user experience, etc...). I called Sprint and they agreed to move my upgrade up to June 1. I can't justify purchasing a single core phone with less than 1GB of RAM when the carrier expects me to hold onto the phone for TWO WHOLE YEARS!! (I'm on Sprint.) The obvious upgrade choices are SGS2 or EVO3D - now maybe the Photon. I've been following these phones for over a month now. At first I scoffed at the "3D" and passed it off as a gimmick. Now, however, I'm really coming around to it and starting to feel the love. We all know about the awesome hardware specs.

Now, however, I'm really beginning to look forward to the 3D aspects of the phone. It finally hit me. 3D PRON! My god man, breasts in 3D anytime, any where with the mobility of a 3D multimedia device in my pocket! DAMN! I seriously can not wait for this.

In my opinion this is the next revolution in PRON. First video cameras (pron in movie theaters), then VHS/Beta, then DVD, then Internet. I'm telling you - 3D TV's are going to revolutionize it and with a 3D video/multimedia/Internet/video capture device in my pocket - the skies the limit with the future of PRON! You might laugh but (in my opinion) this is going to be BIG!

My friend got one today and said the 3D sucks, but otherwise the device flies. He upgraded from a Android 1.6 phone (Hero?) so it was a big leap to him. He is gonna send me some 3D video to check out on my 3D plasma. I am stoked.

So did anyone else get one today?

the 3d pix it takes are kinda cool, but nothing I would archive of say my son. also I'm not sure how I'd view any of the 3d content on anything besides the phone. Love the phone btw.

So how's the pr0n viewing on this thing?

I got mine on last Friday and am loving the phone so far.

I came from a Palm Pre (original) which I hate so much.

The Evo 3D is extremely fast, every app, command, program, whatever, responds so quickly. The screen is extremely clear, bright, and the colors vivid and bold.

The 3D part is kinda cool, the videos and pictures you can take are a fun feature, but the main reason I got the phone was b/c of the specs and how fast it is.

But the Green Hornet 3D movie actually looks REALLY good in 3D, much better than any pic or video you take. It's very easy on the eyes and I don't feel like I have to adjust my eyes one way or another to see the 3D, it's very natural. I guess some media files are just programmed to be better in 3D than other media files.

I broke down and bought this phone at lunchtime today. I agree with everything Schfifty Five said above. Only I'm coming from a Touch Pro 2. Now I see what you guys have been enjoying all this time with the quick response time and zero lag. I'm also enjoying the plethora of free apps to download since they basically shut down the WinMo app development a couple of years ago.
