HTC Advantage, cracked screen replacement.

Has anyone used this and is it applicable only to the original buyer? I've only had one other HTC phone so far and don't have much experience with them. Short story, I'm getting bored with my phone and someone on CL is selling an HTC with cracked screen that they say HTC will replace, just they can't wait and got another phone instead.

Would it be possible for me as the 2nd owner to claim this replacement?

Seems iffy... definitely wouldn't trust what someone on CL is saying.
HTC Offers this, so unless the person is unaware, seems HTC will send you a replacement phone in the meantime overnight?

Pay $29 for shipping handling and HTC will send a replacement phone overnight*. Return your defective device using the prepaid label from HTC.

I am pretty sure they would ask for an invoice/receipt and it only works on phones 6 months or less from purchase date and they will only cover it once. So unless you can make sure of those things, I wouldn't buy it.

If they never registered the phone, I don't see how HTC would know you are the 2nd owner?
