Yeah, my long term review on my personal unit is that it's getting better with time.

The development reminds me of way back on the Nexus One where new features actually get added (e.g., we now have true 60 second exposures for the camera).

It's great that they have this up until the 8th. Give a chance for people to see what Google comes up with tomorrow. It's going to be an HTC phone with similar shape and minor hardware upgrade. There's time to think about the tradeoff between spec/price/update/uh-oh/etc before you make a decision.

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to upgrade.

$550 is an excellent price for the HTC 10. I bought it at full price and I think it was worth it, but I can see how it can be a tough sell for others, especially those who don't live in the US. The phone is a must if you have higher impedance and/or higher quality headphones that see bottlenecks with the typical phones' DAC & amp.

This phone was overpriced to begin with. I think they would've had much better reception at $599. Even $649 would've helped them, but why in the world would anyone pay $699?

Excellent observation, but we already talked about that here.

In this thread we're talking about how the HTC 10 is priced at $549 from Oct 1st to Oct 8th, and whether it is worth to buy it at that price, this week.

People who bought the phone got it for $599 from day 1. It was never a real criticism because if you actually were interested as opposed to pretending to be interested, then you would have known.

If you were going to get it subsidized, then it wouldn't have mattered except it was only on T-Mobile (and Verizon I think?) so we know where Htc truly failed.

Camellia Red version appears to be in stock (HTC site exclusive). So purty...
I've been getting by with cheap phones when my Nexus 5X died, but I think I'm going to buy this.

Absolutely love my HTC 10, even after switching from Nexus 6P. The only thing I miss from older phones is the Xperia Z5's waterproof-ness. Netflix inside a shower was a game-changer.

Even Verizon Htc 10's can be unlocked incidentally. It's a really great phone if you want to do things like custom ROMs without much hassle. It's one of the few choices in the 5" phone arena.

Unable to edit title.

Promotion extended Oct 10 - Oct 16.

Discount price $549

I think HTC should just keep HTC 10 at this price.
