Ice, the only reason that hyperthreading exists is for multitasking, although a few apps, mostly ones that involve encoding, can benefit substantially from it. And, there isn't any difference between 225.5 fps and 225.8 fps! That's a 1.3% difference, and your 3dMark scores are less than 1% difference. Are you trying to tell us that you can see/tell a 1% difference? I didn't think so... Just leave it on. Or, hey, give it to me!!Originally posted by: ICEVaPa
i did soem benchmarks...
Quake3 Demo four - time Demo :
With HT - 225.5 fps
Without HT - 225.8 fps
3DMark2001SE(330) :
With HT - 11873
Without Ht - 11973
mmm, is the multi tasking much better with HT?
Don't get me wrong, I was merely saying that your scores didn't actually change on the 2 examples you gave. I get as much as 100 points diff in 3dMark 2k1, at exactly the same clock speeds myself, and I don't even have HT! But, I'd sure like to have it!!Originally posted by: ICEVaPa
O.. Im not complaining!!! Just Curious!![]()
