HT support with SiS 645DX

according to SiS, the 645DX chipset can support HyperThreading.

I own an Abit SA7 motherboard. Abit has no mention of HyperThreading support for SA7 in their web site.

how can I tell if my board can host HT or not ?

I guess it's entirely a luck of the draw. There's no way in telling if you got a B-step SIS645DX chipset.

and, is support from Abit required ?

Youe board needs a BIOS upfate to support HT, and only if the chip is a B-stepping. It should be clearly indicated in the BIOS update notes.
