HT questions

I have a 2.8c with HT enabled. When I run prime95, task manager only shows one of the graphs under load, so load is around 50% plus other programs running. Is that normal? Does that mean when I play a game, the load is only 50%? Or will more cpu resources be allocated to the game?

You need to run 2 instances of Prime95 to max it out with HT on.

Something about "one graph per processor" is coming to mind. It should show 2 graphs, I think. You may need to change a setting in task manager.

Or are you saying it shows 2 graphs, but only 50% use on one and 0% on the other?

Yeah it shows full use of one, but barely any use of the other and the total cpu used is around 50%. I can get it to 100% with two instances of prime95, but I'm wondering if a game will utilize the full cpu or not.

Well, it sounds confusing to me. Why don't you run some tests with HT on and off and see what happens? Benchmarks and game framerates.
