HT P4s: when and how low?

So I'd like a p4 with ht, but I don't need 3Ghz. When are the lower clocked ht p4s coming out, and how much will they be? Is it true that 2.4 is the lowest speed that ht will be enabled? What should I buy to tide me over until then?

IIRC according to the latest roadmaps these will appear in Q2 alongside Springdale. The Inq made a story out of it a while back.
