Had a guy tell me today he enabled HT on his computer and it made his 1.8 run a heck of a lot faster.

Before I bust out laughing....it is only 3.06's that have HT right now correct? Unless you are lucky enough to have a ES...

Hyperthreading is for the 3.06, the 3.00C, and Xeons so far, unless I am mega-mistaken 😀

im prety sure its present on all cpus (or maybe just C1's) but not enabled (hafta connect bridges down on wafer level or soething along those lines...pretty much impossible without a fab factory and the right tools and knowing which to connect and wahtnot)

i agree, maybe he just changed the cpu freq and thinks it enable ht lol
 
Probably looked in WCPUID and saw it was enabled and was like woohoo! 😛
