HT Enthusiasts...

i personaly would prefer gold plated ones, so it depends on how picky your are about sound.

You have a recommendation for where to get them? From what I see, I could get these, but they're $1.50/ea. If it's worth it, I'll go with that...

Anyone know?

As long as you have binding posts that can accomodate that size of plug, you should be set.

Are you running that cable in-wall?

From what I've heard, it depends - I'm running a set of speakers into my living room from the A/V room, so I wanted to go with 12 gauge to make sure I was getting high quality there, and from that point, I just decided to run 12 gauge to everything. I don't really care about the appearance, so I'm going with grey "in-wall" cabling for $.20/ft rather than the clear stuff ($.33/ft).

I prefer gold because they don't corrode 🙂

Also I'll be getting the Dayton banana's in a couple weeks for my cat5 speaker wire hehehe

finally, the 12g carol inwall wire is STIFF. too stiff to be used as regular speaker wire IMO.
Take a look at the Sound King wire that PE sells, I have some 14g stuff is it's very good as speaker wire.

Thanks for letting me know about the stiffness. I'll probably go with the Sound King 12g and see if HD will PM it to $.35/ft for me.

I'd go with these too- if the price is semi-negligable, always go gold plated. Especially if you're running high-end consumer equipment like Denon.

Denon is high-end?

I'll vouch for the 12g Sound King. That's what I used in my setup...
