HSF for s939

Currently, I have a Thermaltake heatsink with a 92mm fan on top that I used for my socket A.

First, would this work on a s939 A64 and would it work effectively?

Second, what are some good heatsinks for s939? (no hardcore o/c but some, still want it to be relitively quiet)

Finally, are there any good sites to check out cooling products/reviews?

Thanks

Depends on which A64 your getting. If its a winchester, the stock fan will be fine, even for OCing. For the others, you will want to get another fan for OCing; your might be good enough, but a model number would help.

Warning about the XP-120, you have to make sure your motherboard is compatible since it won't fit correctly on a lot of motherboards. The HS will sometimes block the DIMM slots or videocard or something. Check!

Thanks..also it would be a Winchester core. So maybe I can go aftermarket cooler thats a little on the quieter side??

since the zalman is so huge do you know if it works on the DFL NF4 Ultra and Asus NF4 Ultra boards?

Also, if I got the thermalright I'd probably get the 92mm fan version and reuse my fan from my previous thermalright. Should I expect any compatibility problems with this smaller thermalright (compared to the 120mm version)?

Thanks

I highly doubt the Zalman CNPS7700 would fit the DFI NF4 Ultra if you intend to use the upper PCIe slot & I'm pretty sure it'll fit ASUS's NF4 Ultra board & AFAIK the XP-90 has no motherboard compatibility issues with any s754, s939, s478, etc. motherboard out there. IMHO I'd get the XP-90 since it's cheap these days (see "Hot Deals" forum) plus the choice of fan option as you've stated.

If you're getting a Winchester core then I'd go retail. Try out the HSF that comes with the system, if you want it to be quieter then get an aftermarket cooler. Now, the Winchester stock HSF is by no means silent but I've had louder (much louder) stock cooling than this. It's actually quite tolerable if you're not anal about pure silence.
