I will be buying an atholnxp 1600 and need a HSF for it. It will be in a hot / humid climate with probably no ac. Any recommandations ? Will the HSF that comes with the retail box suffice or should I spend extra ?

thanks

depends on what kind of noise u can tolerate. i can stand my thermaltake volcano 6 cu, but i can't stand my friend's swiftech.

Retail hsf will work just fine. I would not use it if you plan on overclocking though.

there will be no overclocking, and the quieter the better

what worries me is the lack of air conditioning
