HSF for AMD 3000+ Venice on MSI Neo2 Platinum

Hello,
I'm trying to get a HSF for my 3000+ venice. The idle temp. at 2.5GHz(at 1.45v) is around 43-45degrees and load is around 54-55 degrees. At 2.7GHz (at 1.525v) is around 46-47degrees idle and around 57-58degrees at load. I'd like to keep load temps. as close to 50 degrees as possible.

On the Zalman website most of their coolers seem to be incompatible with the MSI Neo2 Platinum motherboard.

How's the CoolerMaster Hyper 48? Any other suggestions?

THanks.

Just go all out with a xp-120 with a panaflo.

the XP 120 will not fit on the MSI K8N neo2, as a cap gets in the way, and the only way to fit the heatsink is to bend the capacitor backwards which is not something you wanna do, in case it snaps off.

although the new Thermalright SI-120, the successor to the xp120 will fit, and offers the same cooling capability.

Is there any maximum weight of the HSF that I have to be concerned about?

these heatsinks have been designed to work on as many platforms as they can, and the only limiting factor is its profile (for example the xp120 not being able to fit all motherboards due to size constraints, and heat pipe position), with regards to weight these have been designed so that it is not a limiting factor, so i wouldn?t worry about that. Also the aluminium heatsinks are very light in weight, i can vouch for this as i do have the xp90, and it is very light compared to what i thought when i first saw it.

Yeah the aluminum ones I can imagine are light but the copper ones are like 500+ grams. That should be fine for the motherboard/cpu?
