Okay, I have a few problems regarding aftermarket cooling with my P5B Deluxe/Wifi. First what you need to know about what I plan on installing:

CPU - TT Big Tyhpoon or AC Freezer 7 Pro
GPU - Accelero X2

My system:

E6600
P5B Deluxe
X1900XT
2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR800
Aspire MX-Pleasure-BK Case

I plan on OC'ing as far as air cooling will let me, but I'd be happy with about 3.4GHz, but I will go higher if able. My main questions are these:

1. Which HSF would be better for me, with a case with pretty good airflow? I know this questions been asked a million times. I'm leaning towards the TT even though its $15 more.

2. Would it be beneficial to install an aftermarket NB heatsink? Will the HR-05 fit with either of my HSF's on my MOBO? If not, will the SLI model? Would this be overkill for the clocks I'm aiming for? What to do with the stock heatpipe? Simply bend it off the NB but keeping it connected to the rest of the MOBO? Again, its hard to tell whether my FSB is limited by the BIOS or a hot NB. Would I just be better off applying AS5 to the stock HSF and running with that?

3. With the Accelero X2, it blows the air onto the motherboard instead of out of the case itself, will this heavily affect NB temps? The GPU overclock is currently priority #1 as I'm GPU limited in gaming. I will be modding on a fan over open PCI slots to use as an exhaust for the X2's hot air.

4. My case currently consists of two 80mm Panaflos in the front of the case (lower as exhaust), and two 120mm Scythe F's, one intake on the side blowing on the GPU and the other exhausting out of the back of the case. All on a controller. Will add a the fan over the PCI slots with the Accelero and use the bottom front Panaflo as intake at a lower speed. Thinking of adding a blowhole with a Panaflo 120mm at a very low speed to keep balanced pressure, also to be added on the controller.

Will this be a good setup? If not, what do you suggest? Water cooling is out of the question.

Considering the design of that mobo, I would go with the TT -- and I'm NOT a fan of these HSFs -- it just makes more sense with this app. If you go the Freezer route, and you O/C, I *think* you'll probably end up having to buy the optional chipset fan -- and that would be a shame, IMHO, asthetically speaking...

Also, yes, Acceleros don't blow air outside the case. These things were actually designed for BTX mobos, so I think that would be a poor choice.

And, although you didn't ask -- I love ATI vid cards, but the fact of the matter is, Nvidia's 7900 GT has kicked ATI's bootie from the moment it was launched. The X1900 XT is faster, but a 7900 GT will take up less room, and consumes far less power, so that's the way I would go, all things considered... ;)
