HSF - 4 pads on corners CPU ok?

Help please,

I'm installing a HSF to a 1.4 bird. The Bird came with 4 round pads at each corner. Do I leave them on? thx a bunch...

DO NO TOUCH THOSE PADS... It keep your heavy HSF from breaking the CPU by Keeping pressures balanced. You will be in big trouble even if only one of those pad is missing...
