I have the Zalman 6000, all copper, weighs in around 460 g...MUCH more than the reccomended 300g from AMD. It is not screwed down, but rather uses a conventional clip. Should I worry about this or is it not really a problem at all? I have never seen any reports of damage but just want a little piece of mind.

Alright thanks, that really helps. Other than that, I love this thing, it's extremely quiet and efficient.

An average user shouldn't have anything to worry about using a HS over recommended weight.
But if you move your box a lot and you are accident-prone, you might want to go with a HS that anchors through the MB.

Ah, that makes me feel so much better. Nope, I don't move my computer around much, only to do work on it, it's an antec steel case and is pretty heavy :\...
