Im heading towards overclocking this chip. My Idle Temp:37-39c, heavy load Highest i seen it was 43c. I currently have a MSI K7T266 PRO2-RU mobo. and use this as my case http://www.ipkonfig.com/Reviews/Cases/Directron-Dragon/
I currently put two exhaust in the back next to cpu. and have one front intake for my HD all 3 are 80mm. Im more in favor of cooling power rather then quietness considering its loud enough. though the quiter the better :)... Any reccomendation for a good hsf for this chip? and any guess on how high i might be able to go?

thanx

If you want to get the most out of it then get a AX-7. It uses a 80mm fan so you can choose your poison there. I use a quiet 37cfm and it does fine for oc'ing an xp 1700+. Peace and quiet is good. :)

I had a tbird 1.4 and had it stable at 10.5x155=1627. But I got greedy and tried higher and higher till I think I damaged my ram. Now it will not be stable past 140fsb. 11.5x140 is still 1610 so I can stil oc it. Haven't tried the AX-7 on a 1.4 but it did oc nicely using either a HHC-001, cak II or Dr Thermal. The AX-7 is newer and better than those 3 though.

I have a GlobalWin CAK II 38(full copper) and my AXIA 1Ghz @1.53Ghz runs no more than 47 under load even @ 1.9v

I use crucial ram and it did well till I raised the fsb too high. I've heard good and bad about crucial but I have heard mostly good about Kingmax ram. Stay away from ocz.

Good dependable online stores I know of include Highspeedpc, CrazyPC, KDC and SVC. Another one I just learned about is Sidewindercomputers. I'd just check at each the prices of what you may want and also include shipping in the total cost. All those places don't overcharge for shipping like many do.
