I just need to run Apache and perhaps some ftpserv or similar..

I'd like to be able to use some lightweight WM at least, like blackbox or something.

and something that supports packages/binary installs is a plus, because i suck at linux 😉
 
Yeah, I forgot all about OpenBSD. I think I ran it once a year or two ago (heh).. see if i can handle it..
 
There should be a sticky for what linux distribution to choose. These types of questions are asked like everyday. One of you guys can list what would be the best for certain situations too. Like what is best for servers, old PC's etc.
