Is 'conceptual' just in there to look fancy and annoy me?

I can quite happily set out examples of research, analysis and collation i have undertaken, which clearly demonstrate my skills in these areas, but this 'conceptual' bit has kinda got me in a spin...

Do they want to see me demonstrate that i have demonstrated an understanding of how to undertake research, analysis and collation of info? :headspins;:(:|

Do they want me to demonstrate that in undertaking analysis, research and collation tasks, i apply a conceptual grasp of task and the required outcomes?

Cheers ;)

They want you to prove that you can think about doing the work without actually doing it. Sounds like a sweet job, thinking about working.
