Does this fan not actually work with this heatsink ? Not only that but it appear to have a plug that is not compatible with the slot on the videocard... is this a problem too?

Am I missing something?

this is the scythe model # SY1025SL12H

thanks in advance...

You dont plug your aftermarket fan for the HR-03 onto the slot on the video card, you plug it into one of the 3 pin headers on the motherboard or use an adapter to power it from a molex connector off of the power supply.

I use a Silenx 120mm fan on my HR-03 Plus and I just plug it into any fan header that the cable can reach to.

No, the brackets are meant to take only a 92mm fan. I stripped some cat5 and used some of the copper pairs to fasten it to the heatsink. Works well, and it is not going anywhere. No wiggle either.
