Yeah. I was saying it's surprisingly cheap, especially given that it's a touchscreen, 22" and uses mobile components.
The cheapest iMac is only $100 cheaper and comes with 1/4 the RAM, smaller hard drive, slightly faster processor, but only has a 20" regular screen instead of 22" touchscreen.

The point I was trying to make is that it's surprisingly affordable given what it is and what it has.
Also, I would absolutely love to have a 22" touchscreen, and I'm looking forward to the announced technology that allows touchscreens to be made for only ~20% premium over regular monitors (some announcement from Computex iirc).

As a touch screen device it will bomb. It's always upright, which means HP hasn't bothered to solve the gorilla arm problem.

I see what you mean. Hopefully there is an option to lay it flat.

I had an idea of modding this into a coffee table, like the MS Surface demo.
Should make for a great family room PC.

It is a good idea.

However since it is touch LCD screen then you can not put a cover on it, and as is the LCD would go very fast when things are going to sit on it.

I do not thing that the Microsoft Surface is an LCD. I thing it is a projection screen (the projector is down at the base projecting upward.

You probably means that it does Not worth to you.

I know many Disabled people that some thing like this would really add a lot to the quality of their life.

May be you want to buy one and contribute it to someone that can use it and enjoy.

This just goes against everything I know. For the past 14 years, I've been yelling at people NOT to touch my screen!

My universe is upside down right now.

touching the screen sounds neat. but i doubt its so great in practice. holding your arms out to touch the screen is frankly uncomfortable and unecessary. and yes..gross.
