ok... one moment, i had a linksys cable router. then i saw the dlink's go on sale at BB so i returned the linksys and got the dlink + cash back. after i installed the dlink, a pc i setup as a router to computers in other parts of my house stopped working. basically, the computers can see each other via the phonelines (printer share still works too), but the "pc router" say it is not connected to the net. i been spending the better half of the evening uninstalling and reinstalling my networking, network adapters, & hpna software. i am using the diamond homefree 10mb pci cards. i am using the software that came with these cards to share my net connection. i'm so sick of messing around with this BS right now. does anyone know of any other software that will work with my hpna cards? i've been told that the software that comes with these diamond cards are lite versions of wingate. i've tried using wingate (full version) and i never could get it working. can anyone recommend another piece of net sharing software that works with hpna cards? thank you.
