HP ze2401xt - What kind of ram do I need to add to it?

It's definately SO-DIMM, but you need to make sure that your system doesn't come with 2x256MB chips. There should be a plate you can unscrew on the bottom of the laptop to get access to your memory slots. Remember to unplug your laptop and remove the battery first.

Your guaranteed bet is go to Crucial.com or Kingston.com and use their memory selectors. Likely, any old stick of SO-DIMM DDR RAM will work for you. I think you need standard DDR, not the new DDR2 stuff.

Edit: It looks like it does come with 2x256MB chips. That means you'll have to toss both sticks and replace them both with 512MB ones to get 1GB, or 2x1GB for 2GB.
