Ok i was going to try to put a new fan on this old Pavilion machine i have and when i remove the 60/70mm cpu fan and installed a 120mm fan the computer would not boot to windows. When the computer post it says something to the nature of "CPU FAN ERROR will turn off in 5 sec".
I plug in the old fan and no problem, the 120mm fan does run and it is nice because it is quietier and it cover the capacitors and the northbridge.
Anyideas, would HP really build a sensor base off a singe fan?
