HP vs Cannon

how many pages do BCI-24 ink tank print? Also, is the ink ok and is the quality good?

Also, are HP printers better than cannon and how much do their ink cost?

I cannot personally speak from experience with Canon printers but their ink is cheaper, which is always a bonus.

Canon printers have much cheaper ink carts, a lot of 3rd party makers sell them for under 2 bucks, at decent quality. HP I think is overrated and overpriced but that's just my opinion.

my tank lasted over a year... black is still half full, cyan ink just went out, magenta and yellow are low..
Compared to my old Epson 600, WOW, both tanks would usually go out in half a year, and the cartridges costs a whole lot more.

I like my HP Printer, have had no problems with it. I agree the ink is high, but using the options in their drivers I can usually optimize the ink to last some time without sacrificing any noticeable quality.

For pictures I have a Canon 6 ink tank system and it is very cost effective.

I also have a HP 5550 printer that uses the #57 and #58 when I want to print pictures. I only put in the #58 cart when I need to use it (replaces the #56 black). Looks great but not quite as sharp as the Canon.

For heavy prining the HP #56 holds a lot of ink and lasts a very long time

I own a Canon i475 it is a great printer. I bought a black and a colored ink carton for under 6 bucks online. I print out alot of documents so im not really sure how many pages it takes but I have gone through the first black one that came with the printer. Barely touched the color one though, as I have only printed one picture out so far. The quality is great and compared to HP's rip of ink it is a MUCH better deal esspecially if you just stock up on ink which I plan on doing my next purchase I just wanted to see how the quality of the generic ink was first which it passed with flying colors.

HP is overrated and expensive
Canon is great and very low priced you decide

Hey, weren't you the one that ordered from that company who sells their ink really cheap at Yahoo?

i have a canon MP 730.

I just recently ran out of ink and had to go to staples for some and i thought it was rather expensive.

Is there a site online that sells ink for the MP730 for cheap?

thx

I`ve a Canon i865(5 ink cart printer) and can say the ink quality even on 3rd party inks seems to be very good quality,I can`t really tell the difference,as to print quality? All I can say it`s excellent.

Personally you can`t really go wrong with a good quality Canon printer, they have the cheapest ink around, good print quality and prices, what more do you need?

Probably I ordered from MegaToners.com which I belive is Yahoo store. 89 cent for black BCI-24 cartidges

How did you know that? Yahoo Merchants reviews? I didn't think I posted anything about that?

i've only owned HP printers. theyre good with print quality and I set the print settings down to use less ink but I may look into buying canon next time if ink costs are less and print quality is the same or better.

i use a canon i470d. i got it just to print cheap black text papers for school,it cost me $50. come to find out, it also prints stunning boardless photos, directly from my digital elph. for $5 for black($15 for color), the quality really is beyond words. if you want i can take a high res macro of a print out.
