HP TX2000 Screen in TX1000

I want to put the screen from an HP TX2000 in my TX1000. They are both tablets, mine (TX1000z) has a passive digitizer. HP came out with a new version of the laptop (TX2000) with an active digitizer. Otherwise the two machines are nearly identical (same cases, same CPU/Graphics/feature set/"finish" etc). My only concern is where I would hook the digitizer up to. Although, considering both machines have a pointing device in the screen, there should be connections for something through the pivot in mine...correct?

Any considerations?

By screen, are you referring to the entire LCD assembly, or just the Wacom digitizer? If you have to buy the LCD as well, I think you may as well just buy a TX2000. I'd guess an LCD is probably going to run you at least $500. You'd probably be better off selling the TX1000. Not to mention, it would probably be a huge headache trying to install the digitizer in your tablet.

KK. I was talking about the complete LCD, but if it were possible to add only the digitizer I'd consider it.

I'm also considering just selling the TX1000 and buying a TX2000 or TX2500.

If I have to spend $100-200 on the digitizer I might as well just do the swap.
