I'll be getting one for sure. It's the first tablet I've played around with (I got to spend a little time with one recently) that I really found useful. The iPad is simple, but I still find the lack of multitasking on iOS to be a huge limitation. Android tablets are still too wonky. WebOS is the perfect OS for a tablet in my opinion. I'm looking forward to getting mine.
Now if they'd only tell me when the freaking Pre 3 will be out!

For $500 it is just as much as an iPad, and $100 more than a Transformer. That is maybe a bad move on HP's part.
what lack of multi-tasking?
Use WebOS for 5 seconds, then you'll understand how multi-tasking can/should work.
one thing that I don't like about android is the app management... To uninstall an app isn't as easy as iOS or WebOS. You have to go to "App Management" instead of just click on the app, and holding it down, and wait for the delete prompt to show up!

Every other alternative launcher has this if you so choose to use them.one thing that I don't like about android is the app management... To uninstall an app isn't as easy as iOS or WebOS. i have an ipad 2 and an android phone. my ipad 2's battery seems to last forever with it's fake apple multi tasking. with android's multi tasking that runs apps in the background even when i'm not using them the battery lasts for a few hours.
except for some apps on android like 3g watchdog or lookout that need to run as a service my ipad 2 multi tasks to meet my needs. but then i got rid of lookout and 3g watchdog because i got tired of my battery lasting 2 hours
That's fine for you. For others like me, multitasking is essential. If my phone stopped turn-by-turn navigation because I opened a web browser or used the camera to take photos, I'd feel like I overpaid for what's essentially a dumb phone in a fancy package. But it does require that the user know about apps running in the background, which the average Joe probably won't.
