When I hook up a Sony DSC-W7 digital camera via USB to the HP t5710 thin client, the Find New Hardware Wizard discovers and tries to install the device via Plug n Play. It shows up as "SONY DSC" but the installation of the drivers fails, stating that it cannot locate them.

I copied the installation CD contents for the digital camera to a network drive and I attempted to manually install the drivers via Have Disk, but cannot locate an INF that will work. They all state that the file does not describe the hardware.

I ran the setup.exe program that was in the Drivers folder of the CD. This claimed to be installing "Sony USB drivers." It appeared to complete successfully, and then asked me to reboot. I said no. Looking at the file structure, a folder located at C:\Drivers\Sony USB was created, containing some files including three INF files, one of which referred to usb and one of which referred to a disk. I presumed that these files helped set up the removable disk aspect of the camera.

I committed the data to volume, and rebooted. The camera interface still was not working. I looked in device manager, and it saw that a device named "SONY DSC" was connected, but it was not working properly and had a yellow question mark. I tried to update the driver and use Have Disk on the three INF files in C:\Drivers\Sony USB, but they all stated that they did not describe the hardware.

I simply want a user to be able to connect the camera and then copy the contained pictures to a network drive.
