HP Scanjet not initialized in WinXP

HP-Scanjet 5370 using either parallel or usb connectors is not being seen by
WinXP. For some reason I think the HP Drivers do not fully install though
they go thru the complete install procedure. It has worked fine in the past
and with both connectors but awhile back USB did'nt initialize so I moved to
the parallel. Now they both don't work. Time for a new scanner?
 
Try connecting to another computer first, if it doesn't work, then its time for a new one. Checkout Scanjets on eBay for great deals, more to choose, according to your needs. Good hunting.....
