Hi. I recently bought a 3400c model from HP to attach via USB to my win2k Abit BP6 box. The scanner works, but it is idle for like 5 minutes before it will perform a preview scan, then another 5 minutes of idleness before it will perform the final scan.
I don't remember it being this slow on a Win98 box I had it attached to one. No system processing is being used up during the scanners idleness. I tried updating to HP's newest drivers but that hasn't helped?
What could be causing this?
