I own this same laptop in silver, and it's quite nice. The 720P/768P screen was kind of a bummer, but install the newest AMD Adrenaline drivers, and enable "VSR" under "Display" tab, and you can set desktop res. to 1440P(!).

Has two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, making for an easy upgrade to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Maybe could even go to 32GB.

2C/4T Ryzen, haven't tried gaming on it, iGPU is kind of weak (Vega 3?), compared to the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 laptops.

Still, this is a VERY good price (I paid $269+tax), on a VERY good web-browsing laptop. Only think better, would be 8GB RAM out of the box (easy enough to upgrade), and a 1080P / FHD native screen (sadly, this one is 768P native).

I used to pay this much for Bay Trail Atom laptops a few years back!

And this one has a real M.2 SATA SSD (mine was a fast Samsung SATA M.2 drive), not eMMC garbage.

You do need to remove the "cosmetic" anti-skid rubber strips on the back side, to take out the screws and then use an old credit card to unsnap the chassis cover, then everything is accessable, IIRC. Should be easy for anyone even remotely technically-minded. 16GB SO-DIMM DDR4 kit (recommend GSKill @ Newegg) are like $50-60.

Edit: N.B. This comes with "S-Mode" Windows, which requires an MS ID, and a Windows Store Login and download, to remove "S-Mode" and go back to normal Windows. (It modifies the BIOS.) You CANNOT simply blow away the installation of Windows on-disk and use MCT USB to install a fresh copy of Windows; it too will be in "S-Mode", until you break out of it. With "S-Mode" enabled, you CANNOT RUN WIN32 / WIN64 Windows native applications, ONLY Windows Store apps. NO FIREFOX OR CHROME BROWSER UNTIL YOU BREAK OUT OF "S-Mode".

bump for price roll-back. these truely are a great value once you get them out of "S-Mode".
