HP Question

Hi,
i'm getting an HP computer and it comes with a recovery partition as i understand. If i do the system recovery backup to DVD, then i will be able to delete that partition and install my own OS right?

Most likely, provided you can find drivers for the OS you want to install. I suggest you do this: Get another hard drive to install your other OS on. Burn your recovery DVD's and keep the other Original Hard drive in a safe place. That way, you can easily and quickly go back to factory delivered if you want to. Or make an Image or Clone of the existing drive to a safe location, like on another hard drive (put it in it's own partition so other programs do not use that area)
