Is this laptop any good?

https://www.amazon.com/HP-W4E07UT-ABA-A10-8700P-Processor/dp/B01DAWW9C6/

15.6in screen, 16GB RAM, 1TB drive, AMD, 4.7lbs.

I need something cheap (as in price) that isn't cheap (as in quality). I don't need anything cutting edge high performance, but I don't want it to suck while running Win 10 either.

I haven't owned a home computer in forever and I just use whatever laptop I'm given at work. I have a ProBook 4530s now so whatever I get for personal use should be better than that as maybe I'll be nostalgic and load Everquest. :p

It should be okay since it's from HP's professional line. The only big negative is it still uses a hard drive. Hard drives just aren't that resilient. Also, HD's are slow.

Yeah the HDD instead of SSD is a real setback. That CPU isn't the fastest, either. You might want to consider a ThinkPad E series. Or check out the Lenovo outlet and look for a decently priced refurbished T450 or T440 or T430, try to get one with a higher resolution screen and pop in an SSD (very easy on ThinkPad) and you're done.

I will never ever ever ever buy a Lenovo due to how many different ways they are compromised.

If the hard drive is the only issue and the laptop is otherwise decent, then I think I'm set then. That's one of the few parts I can swap out when I'm ready to and I find a good deal.
