These seem like quite a good deal... any pros/cons I should know about? I realize they are low spec tablets but should be good for general use and they supposedly come with Office, too.

It doesn't seem like a bad deal but I wonder what OS it uses and what the screen resolution is. The other specs look pretty good though. I tried googling the model number but there but there were discrepancies so I wasn't sure.
Anyway, try one out and let us know!:)

I had some of those 7" Win8.1 Atom-based tablets, they were alright for some light web/forum-browsing. They were "difficult" with Windows Updates, with only a 16GB eMMC though. If you didn't initially shut off Windows Update during installation, they would run out of space and brick themselves, eventually.

Hopefully this one never suffers from that problem, with claimed 64GB of eMMC.

Arrived today... it appears to be new. Not a scratch or mark on it. The charger also is new, and still in it's original packaging. Screen is very nice and crisp. feels very solid and well made. Win 10 pro, Fast enough for anything I will use it for. Still has 34GB free after all the updates, one drive and mail setup. Light years better than any of the other cheap tablets I've seen advertised. I'll get a 128GB sd card for storage and maybe the dock. Well worth 80.00 in my opinion.

Sounds pretty decent. I was really tempted, but I so very rarely use a tablet anymore.

I've found that with many "Refurbished" products, if they are newly-discontinued models, then chances are, they are really new-old-stock, being clearanced as "Refurb", with reduced / no warranty, for cheap.

Although, most of the "Refurb" network gear (Asus, I'm looking at you), does seem to be "post-consumer", but most (99% of the time) works alright, and is cheap fodder for 3rd-party firmwares.

I'm sure it will be on sale again... accessories are kinda hard to find because it is a few years old. Found the doc for 20.00 plus 8.00 shipping. Can't find a case I like.

Got mine but I'm not entirely happy. It has some major scratches across the glass and a cluster of pixels that won't go black. I wouldn't consider it "A" refurb quality and I'm considering an exchange.

I'd definitely get a replacement- especially if it has problems with the screen. Mine was spotless. I did have to DL all the latest drivers and firmware. They just slapped a copy of Win10 on to update from the Win8 that they came with but there is no HP software or drivers on it at all.

I took your advice and got a replacement and it's so much better. No scratches on the screen and no bad pixels. The GPS even works better. The last one had me about 1/2 mile away from home, the new one has me right at my location.

I really appreciate the way the selling company handled this. They sent a pre-paid return label and shipped the replacement by 2-day priority mail.

And I just noticed, it's on sale again for $80.

I've noticed mine has some lag in the touch screen- like a half a sec and the pinch and expand movements don't do anything. I've got the latest drivers from HP but its still there. When I googled it, it seems like a common complaint on these tablets.

I just loaded all the relevant HP drivers and don't see that lag. It could have to do with what's running in the background.

I don't find much that allows pinch and expand, which I think Is typical, but the camera app does.

I got mine today.

No white box etc. Just a shipping box and lots of bubble wrap.

Looks Brand New as well as the power adapter.

It came with Build 1909 which was shocking. Doing Win10 updates atm.

$85 shipped. Seems like an awesome deal right now.

Exactly this. A few tiny Nick's on the screen that are barely noticable. Nice device though.

Currently $200. Will check back and get more if they drop to 80.

Also, there is a bay seller who has these at 99 with a dock. I ordered one and will report back on condition once it arrives.

Make sure you go to HP and get the latest bios, drivers and firmware. They are not installed when you get the tablet, just basic Win 10 pro.

I LOVE mine! It's certainly not the fastest device I own, but the battery life is really good, the screen beautiful and the condition and build quality excellent.

It came with 1903, so I made a USB installer and freshly installed 1909, flashed the newer BIOS from HP and all the other drivers were installed automatically. I looked at the drivers on the HP website but all seem older than what Windows put on there...

The speakers are not great, but Bluetooth works perfectly and the 3.5mm out sounds great.

Now if only someone uncovered a hidden cache of active styluses for these......

I am stuck in a boot loop trying to update the BIOS. It is asking for the BIOS password which I don't have. Don't install the BIOS unless you know the password. Go into the bios setup and check that is blank or set one before installing it

I think the Amtel touchscreen firmware is specific to this device even if it works with the MS generic drivers.

It seems whenever I update a driver I get a notification that the Amtel touchscreen firmware needs to be updated and I'm supposed to reboot. So I do and get a message that it's updating as the BIOS starts up. Kind of strange since it already has the update installed.
