HP Printer Problem

My friend has an HP 2200D laserjet printer with windows 2000. She powers the pc down every night, in the morning when she turns the pc on she gets an error that it can't find the printer. She then immediately reboots and the printer is fine. anybody have any ideas what could cause this?
