I will be buying a digital camera with the left over oney from my college funds, I have always wanted one and this one is on sale. Anyone have any luck with this camera? How is the picture quality?

Canon A200 has better picture quality IMO. Much more realistic colours - HP's seemed too oversaturated. Check the prices for it.
PS. The Canon optics in the A200 are very good too (for the price)

I actually have the HP 315, which is essentially the same camera...

I find the picture quality to be a little blurry... and the fact that it has no optical zoom is definitely a minus... I also tried printing some pics I took into a 4x6 photo using digital photo finishing, and u can definitely tell it was taken using a digital camera (compared to pics taken using conventional camera)....

If you want a camera to post pics on the web, then this one is good for you... easy to use, and has GREAT battery life (no need to use rechargables even, normal alkaline batteries lasted me for 2 months!)... but if u plan to print pics out into 4x6 photos or larger, I would suggest u looks someplace else...

Well I picked up a kodak dx3500 instead cause it had macro and I know if you loose the hp driver cd you have to buy a new one and cent download the drivers off of their website. I didnt buy the camera for professional photography.
