Staples has this camera for $199.98. Add something to cart and then use $40 off coupon. Total is $160 including shipping.

I couldn't find a better price anywhere else. Does anyone have experience with this camera? Any good reviews out there?

Too early to say, but it's a shame it doesn't have an optical zoom. Digital zoom is basically useless, so this camera has it's priorities wrong. I'd rather have a 1.3MP with 2x optical than a 2.3MP with fixed focal length lens. At this price point, convenience and flexibility is more important than pixels.

The Fuji FinePix 2300 for under $150 at HSN.com is a better camera and deal.

Don't know if that deal is still valid though.

Where do you see the HP C318 on Staples web page. All I see is the C315.

Woops I found it now.

The Fuji Finepix 2300 and 2600 are way better than this digicam and both are under $200.

Links to both deals can be found in this thread.

No optical zoom (. But good HP quality. The Fuji 2600 (zoom) deal has too many hoops for me so its down to the other Fuji, that RCA CDS6300 at OM I have on order which I could cancel , or this one.

Well I just returned the HP318 two days ago, because I also had the Fuji 1300 and 2600. The HP was very very good. Easiest camer to use. I didn't even have to open the instruction book to operate every feature on it. I can't say that for the Fujis....and the HP215. It was hard for me to let go of the HP318, but I had to narrow it down.
Let me just say that the Fujis ( both 1300 & 2600 ) are awsome. I'm new at this digital thing, and I'm absolutey amazed at these cameras. The pictures are excellent. I have to say if at all possible the 2600 is the one to get. What everybody says about the "optical zoom" is absolutey correct. It's great.
..........also the feature that I find so useful and interesting is the ability for the 2600 to take 20sec increments of video mode. There are so many uses for that feature.

The HP318 is a great camera but no optical zoom. Buy the way let me tell you that the HP 318 does NOT eat batteries like the 215. The batteries (alkaline) didn't want to die.

I bought the 318 a few weeks ago using the same Staples coupon. Was the best price I could find anywhere on a comparable camera. First, let me say the 318 totally smokes the 315 in ease of use and overall quality. It is sort of a drag that there's no optical zoom, but for this price who can complain much? Camera takes good pictures, especially if your intent is to take shots for the Web/ebay. Battery life is indeed remarkably long. Anyone who used early generation digital cams will no doubt concur, though it may be that most current models have exceptionally long battery life. Of course with the internal memory only 8 MB, you'll need to pick up a CF card if you plan on taking the camera out with you.

The reason why I was looking at this deal instead of the Fuji 2600 was because with the Fuji deal you get a GC not cash, plus you have to wait for the msn check till January.

Right now, it's between this HP or the RCA deal if I can find it in stock

I bought this Kodak 318 camera and took two photos and then returned it. I was not particularly fond of the feel of the camera and figured for an extra few bucks I could get the Fuji Finepix 2600. Just got it last night, and it is great. Nice and small and has a good feel, good size screen and 3X optical zoom.

The 318 also came with a lithium battery pack but no charger, which meant you had to buy the docking station to recharge it, and the Fuji comes with rechargables.

I am not knocking the Kodak as my brother has the DC4800 which I think is very nice. Not having the optical zoom was the deciding factor.
