HP Pavillion help,please

A neighbor has called me to help out on her PC that is post warrenty HP Pavillion. It has boot virus protection turned on in BIOS and its doing some other wierd things like locking up. I would like to get to the BIOS and at least shut down virus detection until I can complete a diagnosis of all the symptoms.

I get the enfernal HP log on screen. Any help to get me into bios will be greatly appreciated.

at boot up hit the F1 key, that should get ya in there.

Thanks trashman. I hit f3. no wonder I didn't get anywhere. Is there a website that tells how to bypass the logo screens in Dell,Gateway, Compaq and HP? Or any others?

I would sure put that link in my favorites folder.

Only thing I could say to try, is go to HP.com and do a search on the model your neighbor has, hopefully there would be some info on that for you.
